Nature-Loving Modern Art

We know you love decorating your home with the most impeccable pieces of art, for wise was the man who once said that a house without art can never truly become a home.

If you’re looking for nature-loving modern art, then Nic Fiddian-Green’s sculptures are exactly what you need. The British sculptor specializes in making lifelike models of horse heads in all sizes, and his artwork is so detailed it reminds you of the beauty and agility of the horses you have at your own stable.

Nic Fiddian-Green's 'Still Water' sculpture

Fiddian-Green works from a studio in the stable block at Wintershall, Surrey, where the horses serve as an inspiration for his sculptures, and his work is known to highlight the English country landscape where he still lives. One of his most famous sculptures is Still Water, a 2011 10m tall outdoor bronze sculpture located at Marble Arch in London, which is by far one of Fiddian-Green’s most acclaimed pieces.

Using the lost wax technique of bronze casting, he utilizes this ancient technique to bring to life sculptures of one of history’s most ancient animals- horses. To create the perfect color and pigmentation, Mr. Fiddian-Green then applies chemicals such as potassium polysulfide on his sculptures.

“Every line and every shape is the original mark and not a copy", is what he has to say about his work. Each sculpture Fiddian-Green brings to life contains a part of his artistic soul, and the beauty of every piece is a product of precision and artistry. So, if you’ve a passion for horses and art, what else could you ask for than one of Nic Fiddian-Green’s sculptures?
